We at Salloway Property Consultants are delighted to have played a key part in securing the deal for Derby’s newest police station.

This marks a major new investment for Derbyshire Police and is ideally placed, allowing them to share some service with the neighbouring fire station.

Stephen Salloway shook hands on the deal at the site with Police & Crime Commissioner Hardyal Dhindsa and managing director John Blount and director Nick Blount of our client, Ivygrove Developments.

The station will replace the outdated Cotton Lane building and Hardyal said: “It will provide better facilities for all staff, partners and the public, with an up to date, fully equipped station providing an environment that will be fit for purpose for many years to come.”

This marks a major new investment for Derbyshire Police and is ideally placed, allowing them to share some service with the neighbouring fire station.

Talking of the fire service – its former headquarters has been put back on the market after a deal unexpectedly fell through.

Those who previously bid for the historic Old Hall in Littleover are being contacted but it is available to any buyer who is willing to pay the asking price, expected to be around £3m.

The nearly five-acre site on Burton Road includes the impressive Victorian mansion as well as more modern buildings and gatehouse in attractive, landscaped grounds.
